Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: 22 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data we collect through inferenz.in, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. In short: we collect only what you send us or what is needed to run the site, we do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we never sell your data.

1. Who we are

Inferenz ("Inferenz", "we", "us") is an applied AI, machine learning and software development company. We operate the website at inferenz.in (the "Site"). For the purposes of applicable data-protection law, we are the data controller (in India, the "data fiduciary") for personal data collected through the Site.

You can reach us about anything in this policy at support@inferenz.in.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you use the contact form or email us, we collect the information you choose to provide:

  • your name and email address;
  • the type of project you are interested in;
  • the content of your message, including anything you tell us about your organisation, data or project;
  • any other information you include in correspondence with us.

Please do not include sensitive personal data, confidential data sets, credentials or API keys in the contact form. We will tell you how to share such material securely if a project requires it.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically processes technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, referring page, pages requested and the date and time of requests. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and diagnose faults.

What we do not collect

We do not require you to create an account. We do not knowingly collect payment information, government identifiers or special-category personal data through the Site.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We do not set advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and we do not use third-party advertising or social-media tracking pixels on the Site. The Site does not store personal data in your browser. If this changes, for example if we add privacy-respecting analytics, we will update this policy and, where the law requires, ask for your consent first.

Your browser may store ordinary technical data (such as cached files) to load the Site faster. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings.

4. How we use your information and our legal bases

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects, we do not sell your personal data, and we do not use messages sent through the Site to train machine-learning models.

We will only send you marketing email if you have asked for it or the law otherwise permits it, and every such message will include a way to opt out.

5. Who we share information with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the Site and our business, under terms that limit their use of it:

  • Hosting and form handling: Netlify, Inc. hosts the Site and processes contact-form submissions on our behalf, including spam filtering and delivering notifications to us.
  • Email: our email provider, which hosts the support@inferenz.in mailbox where form notifications and correspondence arrive.
  • Fonts: the Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests them, Google receives your IP address and browser details.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order or a lawful request from a public authority, to protect our rights, safety or property or those of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will ensure the recipient honours this policy.

6. International transfers

Our service providers may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States and other regions. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the provider's contractual commitments (for example standard contractual clauses), or on transfers being permitted under the law that applies to you, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India).

7. How long we keep information

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a project: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
  • Clients and engagements: for the duration of the relationship and afterwards as long as needed for contractual, tax, accounting and legal purposes. Those terms are set out in your service agreement.
  • Server and security logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period according to its own retention schedule.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time (see "Your rights").

8. How we protect information

The Site is served over HTTPS. We limit access to contact submissions to the people who need them, and we choose providers that maintain recognised security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • erase your data, or restrict or object to certain processing;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity (under India's DPDP Act, 2023);
  • lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority, such as the Data Protection Board of India, or, in the UK or EU, your local supervisory authority.

To exercise any right, email support@inferenz.in. We may need to verify your identity and will respond within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires.

California and similar US state laws. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not discriminate against anyone for exercising their privacy rights.

10. Children

The Site is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to tell you, for example by a notice on the Site.

13. Contact and grievances

For questions, requests or complaints about how we handle personal data, email support@inferenz.in. This address is also our point of contact for grievances under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable rules. We aim to acknowledge every request promptly and resolve it within 30 days.
